Bayview Boxers We purchased our first Boxer in 1986 for a family pet. Roxy was a plain fawn bitch and we fell in love with her and the breed. A couple of years later we decided that Roxy needed company and purchased a show bitch this time. Glennroe Tequila Sunrise, Amber, came to us from Glenn and Zona Grupe of Glennroe Boxers. She turned out to be an excellent show dog and went beyond our dreams. Amber truly is the foundation of all we have accomplished at Bayview Boxers. Amber earned her championship handled by her breeder and co-owner Zona Grupe. Ch. Glennroe Tequila Sunrise, dom, went on to be a Special and finished in the Top 20 of Boxers in the U.S. for 1992. Amber retired from the show ring, but she then proved herself in the whelping box. She went on to produce 7 champions, one of which was Ch. Bayview Strides Ahead, som, lom, 'Strider'. Strider was whelped from Amber’s second litter. Strider’s sire was Ch. Bridgewood’s B.K. Kahuna, som, lom and he was our pick of the litter. He matured into a beautiful dog earning his championship in style by finishing at the American Boxer Club Regional. Strider was a Special for 2 years, qualifying for the Top 20 both years. During this time he began to be used as a stud dog and there he proved that he could pass on many of his strong traits. Strider became a Sire of Merit at the age of 4 1\2 years. To date he has sired 46 U.S. Champions, 7 of which have become producers of merit themselves earning Strider the honor of becoming a Legion of Merit. Of special note, Strider has sired one Winners Dog, which Bayview bred, two Winners Bitch and a Grand Futurity Winner at the American Boxer Club National Specialty. Many of his Get have qualified to compete in ABC Top 20 and one has been the Top 20 winner. Strider also is the sire of the number one most winning Bitch in Boxer history. Over the years there have been many memorable dogs at Bayview. Two additions were made to our family in 2002 from our breedings and they began their remarkable show careers in January 2003. First came Monroe, now Ch. Bayview Some Like It Hot, a Strider Daughter. She was hot, taking Winners Bitch at her very first show in January at 6 months of age, owner handled. She won both her Majors at Boxer Club Specialties and finished at 15 months old. A few weeks later came Vader, Ch. Bayview Strikes Again, a Strider grandson and a brindle. Not to be outdone by Monroe, Vader took his first major at 9 months old and at 10 months he became the American Boxer Club Grand Futurity Winner, winning over 550 other Boxers. Vader won two more majors at Boxer Club Specialties and finished at 15 months old. Ch. Bayview Some Like It Hot, Monroe, went on to her career as a Special in the Spring of 2004. With her new owners Keith and Cheryl Robbins and Michael Shepard on the lead they were off and running and were they HOT! Monroe ackomplished more then we could have imagined. After only a couple of weeks she had her first All Breed Best in Show. Monroe went on to win 70 All Breed Best in Shows making her the #1 most winning Boxer Bitch in Boxer history and the # 2 Boxer behind the great Bangaway. Monroe was also the winner of the American Boxer Club Top 20. Please go to Monroe's page for pictures and details fo her remarkable career. Bayview dogs have done great in the show ring, but we are extremly proud of the great companions they have become to so many families accross America. We always strive to breed the best dogs we can for the show ring and to be a beautiful loving companion to all the families they join. Bayview Boxers could not have done all that we have accomplished over the many years without the help and hard work from our son, Justin. Bayview Boxers |
